Education Committee

The Rondout Valley Business Association formed an Education Committee in 2014 with the goal of forming a connection between our business members, the larger Rondout Valley community, and our local Rondout Valley High School. By utilizing the local talent within our community to create a more enriched experience for our students, the Business Association believes they can help to better prepare our youth for life beyond high school.

It is the “It takes a village to raise a child” principle.

The Committee collaborates with the District Superintendent, High School Principal and school personnel to organize a number of programs in which local business professionals take part in.

The following programs are available to all High School students in the 2015-2016 school year.

PARENTS

Please encouragement your student(s) to participate.

BUSINESS PROFESSIONALS

We encourage you to get involved in one or more of the following programs.

INTERNSHIP/SHADOWING OPPORTUNITIES

High School students need the opportunity to explore the professional world so that they can begin to see where their educational path could lead and what skills they need to work on. The RVBA Education Committee is compiling a list of local professionals who are willing to host a student(s) for a few hours while they work.

A list of participating local business professionals who are willing to host a student for a few hours at work will be in the library and guidance office by mid-December.
