Networking Breakfast Meeting

New York Healthcare Act Forum

The Rondout Valley Business Association, in conjunction with SUNY Ulster, will host a breakfast meeting to discuss the merits of the New York Healthcare Act on Thursday, May 10 from 7:30-9 a.m at the SUNY Ulster Dining Hall in Vanderlyn Hall.

The New York Healthcare Act would provide New Yorkers with universal healthcare.

A panel discussion moderated by Vincent Martello, Director of the Health Education Unit (HEU) of the Ulster County Department of Health and Mental Health will address the pros and cons of this proposed legislation.

Panelists will include representatives from the Campaign for New York Health including Elissa Krauss, recently retired from the Office of Court Research at the NYS Unified Court System and Dr. Randall Rissman, recently retired general family practice doctor, from Woodstock, and a representative from the Empire Center for Public Policy, Bill Hammond, Director of Health Policy at the Empire Center in Albany.
